The sap is starting to run and you know what that means!! The 4th annual Shiitakepalooza is fast approaching! The first weekend in April bring a dish to pass, your instruments, and any friends that want to learn about growing shiitake mushrooms out to the Eddy Farm. We start early Sat. morning inoculating shiitake logs and after a potluch lunch we tour the laying yard and have a Q&A session with experienced shiitake farmers. Most of the work gets done on Saturday. This year on Sunday we are organizing our first annual Disc Golf tournament the "Uncle Arthur Classic" (bring discs if you have some). The tournament is open to all skill levels and features 18 holes with a roving beer truck. Saturdays participants bring a shiitake log home and have a shot at some awesome raffle prizes. Don't forget its April in Vermont and Mother Nature decides the weather so check the forecast beforehand and come prepared as this event is rain or shine. Hope to see many of your smiling faces there and "may the spores be with you"!

See you there!
