The Eddy Farm School for Horse & Rider is a non-profit educational organization located in Middlebury, Vermont, whose mission is to teach traditional horsemanship skills and promote amateur athletic competition for everyone in our community, regardless of age or physical capabilities.

Eddy Farm School is host to a large variety of programs and special events throughout the seasons. From Western & English Dressage Lessons, to Summer Riding Camps, and Shiitake Mushroom Clinics, you will find a warm, welcoming, and all inclusive environment here at The Eddy Farm.

ENTRY FEES:

One Phase - $30.00; Two Phases - $45.00; Three Phases - $55.00

Rules: With few exceptions, we will follow USEF rules.  This is a schooling event, and accommodations are made for beginners, but please read and respect Eddy Farm Trial rules.

 

DRESSAGE JUDGES: Marshall Grey

 

Competition surface: Grass 

 

Dressage: Competitors riding Dressage only may ride any test through Fourth Level or through Level 2 for Western Dressage. Please specify the test(s) you intend to ride on the entry form.  Dressage tests are available at the Eddy Farm and at

X-Country: Scoring will be on the honor system and monitors will be on course.  Novice level competitors will be timed.  X-Country maps are available at the Eddy Farm.  The X-Country course will be open to walk by 12:00 noon the Saturday before the competition. Please walk the course before the start of competition on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.  X-C course will be closed to schooling eight days prior to the competition date.

 

AWARDS: Ribbons awarded through 6th place in Junior and Senior divisions for Dressage and 3-Phase.  

 

CLOSING DATE for entries for each Trial is the Monday just prior to that trial. Entries received after that Monday will be charged a $10 late fee.  Refunds will be given prior to the closing date, less $10.  No refunds given after the closing date.  A refund of the entry fee less $10 will be given if the event is cancelled.
